Asbestos Seminar at European Social Forum
For the first time, the issue of asbestos will be part of the official agenda for the European Social Forum which is expected to attract more than 20,000 participants to venues throughout London over the weekend October 15-17, 2004.
The asbestos seminar entitled: Asbestos: Global Action Needed will take place in WC1 between 2-4 p.m. on October 16, 2004. The agenda features presentations by asbestos specialists from the UK, Spain, Italy and Egypt (see agenda) who will discuss the European asbestos legacy and the implications of increasing consumption in East European, Asian and Latin American countries.
