On Friday, July 7, 2017 asbestos victims support groups, charities and other organizations are holding events, conferences, public rallies and memorial services to mark Action Mesothelioma Day 2017 (AMD 2017) throughout the country. In 2014 there were 2,515 mesothelioma deaths in Great Britain; due to the country’s widespread and uncontrolled use of asbestos throughout the 20th century, Britain has the world’s worst incidence rate of this aggressive and deadly cancer.
